Joshua Croland, MD, followed his parents' footsteps in joining the medical field with his father being an optician and his mother being a nurse."I like talking to people, and that is 95% of OB/GYN," says Dr. Croland. "Talking to people about their care, working with them and developing that patient relationship is where it is for me."Dr. Croland earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Penn. He has more than 20 years of experience providing OB/GYN services in Illinois.Dr. Croland's scope of practice primarily focuses on urogynecology, which is pelvic reconstruction for prolapse and female incontinence. Helping patients deal with these issues is the most fulfilling for him."Hands down, the favorite thing about my job is the satisfaction I see on their face when we are able to help them," he says. "My goal is putting a smile back on my patient's face."In his free time, Dr. Croland enjoys spending time with his wife traveling, eating good food and seeing their kids.
