For as long as I can remember I’ve loved learning and teaching about sciences. Medicine allows me to continually challenge myself and grow as new information is being discovered and use that information to teach patients to be the healthiest and happiest versions of their selves. I enjoy developing relationships with patients and families, contributing to a person’s well-being, discussing behavior and chronic health/wellness in a team-based setting and educating my patients and student learners alike. Educating my patients and learners that is the basis of my care philosophy. Any chances I have to educate a patient and give them power and understanding of their health is a win. I want to practice in a way that maximizes patient outcomes, value based care and clinical efficiency. I am comfortable in caring for all persons and enjoy the challenges of meeting the needs of a community. I am passionate about offering care including chronic disease management, weight management, local procedures, and hepatitis C treatment utilizing team members and specialist available throughout the UNC system. Outside of work. I enjoy running, hiking, working out and replenishing the calories at restaurants. My partner and I love to travel to national parks and go on outdoor adventures with our two dogs and are welcoming our first child.
