About Shawn Marie
Coming from a family of nurses, physicians and a physical therapist, Shawn Marie (Shawnee) Seward’s philosophy as a provider is to promote trust, empower with knowledge and collaborate to meet needs and expectations. She says she promotes health and well-being through education and disease prevention. Her specialty in vascular surgery allows her to expand her abilities in these areas.
Shawnee earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Goshen College and has worked in areas of hematology oncology and interventional radiology, in management and clinical nursing roles.
Providing holistic, comprehensive care to all of her patients and their families is Shawnee’s goal. “I believe in advocating for every patient and empower them to obtain their highest quality of life,” she says.
Her patients have taught her so much over the years including that you should not take anything for granted. Shawnee also has come to believe that everything happens for a reason and there is always a lesson to be learned from experiences and situations.
“My passion is to provide compassionate care and to empower my patients with knowledge,” she says, adding that this is what she hopes people have learned from her.
