Dr. Steven Jasonowicz is a board-certified podiatric foot and ankle surgeon. He treats a full spectrum of foot and ankle disorders from trauma/fractures, deformity reconstruction (including the diabetic foot), and sports medicine. Dr. Jasonowicz also has a special interest in total ankle joint replacement surgery.
He is a graduate of Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, and he completed his residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.
Dr. Jasonowicz’s treatment philosophy revolves around patient education. He enjoys getting to know his patients in order to better understand what might be most appropriate for them. He encourages them to feel involved in their own treatment decisions.
Dr. Jasonowicz is board-certified by both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). He is involved with ABFAS as well as the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) at the national level. He is currently a surgical case reviewer for ABFAS and has served on different ACFAS committees.
Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Jasonowicz partnered with a colleague to begin and operate a continued mission trip to Liberia, West Africa providing free foot and ankle surgery. He is part of a high school mentorship program in Chicago and maintains his relationship with Loyola, training resident physicians from Loyola University Medical Center.
Dr. Jasonowicz is on staff at Advocate Sherman Hospital and Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, where he was born. The Barrington native loves practicing in the community where he grew up. In his free time, he enjoys running and spending time with family and friends.
