Dr. Wishau is a fellowship-trained podiatric surgeon whose expertise is in performing forefoot surgery, rearfoot surgery and total ankle replacement. Dr. Wishau works with his patients to reduce their foot and ankle pain, prevent amputations, and recover from injuries. Dr. Wishau also has extensive training in advanced limb salvage techniques including application of multiplanar external fixation, skin grafts, skin flaps and muscle flaps. Additionally, Dr. Wishau treats a variety of podiatric concerns.
Dr. Wishau earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He served as chief resident during his surgical residency at SSM DePaul Health Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Wishau conducted a year fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction and limb salvage through the Professional Education and Research Institute in Roanoke, VA. He also served a five-week fellowship in Germany to train with four renowned foot and ankle orthopedic surgeons.
