The Black Squirrel Tri is held Sat, July 26 starting at 8:30 AM. The Prairie River is very shallow with no rapids, the biking portion is held on the road through Council Grounds State Park and farmland roads. The 5k run is set on gravel and mowed grass paths that take you through wooded areas of the MARC and Council Grounds State Park. Both the bike and run offer occasional views of the Wisconsin River. Prices are reduced for those 19 and under if they participate as a solo or all members of a relay team or tandem team. Age divisions are offered all the way up to 70+ years old. People can participate as individuals, part of a relay or part of a tandem team. Some very unique divisions are Double Tandem (both people in the same craft, both ride a tandem bike together) along with an eBike Solo division and eBike Relay division (no throttles allowed).
Awards follow at 1:00 or soon thereafter at Cenotaph Park located across the street from Ballhyoos. Live music will be available from 11:30 until the start of awards.

Packet pick up is Friday evening 5-8 PM at the Smith Ctr at the MARC or Sat morning at the Race Start. There will be free shuttle buses to transport athletes from the MARC parking area (finish) to the start the morning of the race.
