New Bern Breakfast Rotary announces the 14th Annual B/S/H/Oktoberfest to be held on Saturday, September 27 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. This is a fundraiser to support local scholarships, and community grants to include our "Kicks for Kids" program, which provides shoes for over 300 children in Craven County Schools. The traditional Oktoberfest celebration is usually held in Germany during late SEptember of each year as a famed beer festival and fair. In New Bern, The Little German Band and Dancers will lead the crowd with singing and dancing, including the infamous Chicken Dance, in the spirit of the traditional celebration. The popular Stein Holding  contest will once again be held for those who want to test their strength and endurance. 

Ticket price includes admission, one traditional German-style meal and non-alcoholic beverage Separate tickets will be sold for beer and wine. Active duty military with ID:$25, children 6-12:$5 (5 and under are free). Advance tickets are available mid-August at Mitchell Hardware or can be purchased online: www.newbernrotary.org.
