The Miners Foundry Cultural Center and Holt Ballet Conservatory are pleased to present “Clara and The Nutcracker” in five performances

Enjoy a delightful presentation of holiday cheer and tradition in historical Nevada City with a talented cast of dancers, colorful costumes, magical sets, and the wonderful music of the holidays. The Miners Foundry offers time-honored hospitality and HBC dancers bring vibrant energy and faithful dedication to the art of ballet in this classical favorite.

The Miners Foundry features a no host full bar and treats will be available for purchase.

The Box Office opens one hour before each performance and the doors to the theatre open 30 minutes before each performance. Evening performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and Matinee performances begin at 1:00 p.m.

Clara and The Nutcracker:

Don’t miss “Clara and The Nutcracker”, a delightful version of E.T.A. Hoffman’s classic tale “The Nutcracker Suite”. Holt Ballet Conservatory and Miners Foundry join hands to bring to life this delightful story of family unity, childhood fantasy, and magical transformations.

Set on Christmas Eve, at the foot of a Christmas tree and seen through the eyes of a child’s imagination, “Clara and The Nutcracker” tells the tale of Clara, whose Christmas present of a toy nutcracker solider inspires a magical dream filled with battling mice, dancing sugar canes, and visits from ambassadors from afar.

This year’s production boasts new costumes, new choreography, additional music, and exemplary dancing, featuring some of Nevada County’s most accomplished young ballet dancers. With Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky’s timeless musical score, you won’t find better holiday entertainment.

Children will be enchanted and adults will be inspired by this performance to remember!
