Cooperstown Winter Carnival Hot Cocoa Kick-Off

4:30 pm - 6 pm 

Join us as we start off the 57th Winter Carnival with a fun night out featuring Hot cocoa with all the fixings, some words from Cooperstown Mayor Ellen Tillapaugh and much more. Stick around for the fireworks at dusk and visit with The Arabian Princess, Rapunzel and The American Hero.  Adult beverages will be available.

Warm Up With Hot Cocoa

Sip, savor, and celebrate as we kick off the Cooperstown Winter Carnival with a steaming cup of hot chocolate! It's the perfect way to start the winter fun – join us for a toasty treat that'll leave you smiling!"

All that Glitters is Snow and Sparks 

From the beautiful Otesaga, watch as we “Color the Night” with a spectacular fireworks display, going off at 6:00pm.  Get there early to grab your drinks!

Be on your toes! 

There will be a special appearance by The Arabian Princess, Rapunzel and The American Hero!  Find them at the hot cocoa bar and watching the fireworks!  

Enjoy Some Music

Cooperstown's Shadowfax (featuring Paul Weber and Douglas Parry Davidson) will be providing the soundtrack for this spectacular evening with a special live performance.

Grab Your Winter Carnival Pin

This year’s Cooperstown Winter Carnival honors Linda Schuermann and Hank Phillips, cherished committee chairs who recently passed away. Linda, one of the first female chair in 1987, designed the iconic "Walking Snowman" featured on early carnival brochures. Fittingly, this year’s theme was submitted by Hank’s son. To celebrate their legacy, the 2025 carnival pin will showcase Linda’s original snowman design. Purchase your collector’s Winter Carnival pin at the Otesaga for $5. 

Stick Around For Dinner

If you're looking to have dinner after the fireworks... the Hawkeye Bar & Grill will be exploring world cuisine with their popular Hawkeye International Nights.  This evening will feature the delicious cuisine of Mexico.  Be sure to book those reservations soon!
