On Tuesday, February 11, 2025 The Birmingham 8, Powered by Emagine, will be hosting a live comedy show featuring Michigan native and director Mike Young as well as actors from the film, as Rock Comedy Tour presents the exclusive premiere of Stealing Jokes at Emagine’s Birmingham 8. 

Young will be donating proceeds from the event to NF Forward Detroit. NF Forward was started by Dan and Jennifer Gilbert after their son Nicolas was. NF Forward brings awareness to Neurofibromatosis type 1, which is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerve pathways anywhere in the body. “Nick was a bright light and a good friend who was taken too soon by this disease,” stated Young. “If I can shine a light on NF through entertainment, I will.” 

 The evening will kick off with a live comedy show featuring Mike Young and several cast members including, Luke Null (Donny Hefner), Dustin Ybarra (Freddy Garza), Sam Gray (Nicky), Ha Ha Davis (Tony Wilson), and Carmen Johnson (Cara). Guests will then be able to enjoy a screening of Stealing Jokes, where comedian Jake Burman and his friends head out on tour. After getting stiffed for their pay on their first gig, the rob the venue which sets the stage for a hilarious Ocean’s Eleven type ride through the comedy underworld. 

Following the showing of Stealing Jokes, Mike Young and the cast will host a Q&A discussing insights into the making of the movie.
