Please join the Mesquite Arts Council as they welcome North Texas artist Phil Samson to the Mesquite Arts Center's main gallery. [Synapse Synchrocity] exhibition presents wall sculptures referencing imagined abstracted hybrid biological forms. Phil Samson created these sculptures while interacting with the plant genetic engineers at the University of North Texas’ BioDiscovery Institute. Some viewers' analytical and creative thinking might be activated to generate new cerebral synapse connections that can help resolve the sculpture’s identity, actual scale, and possible purpose. For others, these sculptures appear as unknowable abstractions that can both enliven and reflect their environment.
