Mark your calendar for a visit to Sequoyah State Park on January 1 for free guided hikes. The early hike is two miles along Bluebird Trail that begins at 9:45 and hikers will meet at the Chickasaw Campground Entrance. The later hike is 5 miles along Whispering Pines, Deer Run, Eagle Roost and Hackberry Gap Trails and will meet at the park office at 1pm. Bring a water bottle and your own mug for drinks to help cut down on waste! Be sure to bring your pets on leashes, binoculars, a camera, water and appropriate dress for a cool-weather hike.
