Moderate, 4-mile hike there and back, from Copake Falls Park Office to Bash Bish Falls, MA. Moderate elevation changes with uneven/natural terrain, hikers should wear 6" lace up boots, plenty of layers, and bring crampons/spikes if there are icy conditions. Spikes will not be provided by park - participants are responsible for proper footwear and attire. There are memorial benches along the last .75 mile that can be used for rest, otherwise stopping along the route is always permitted if needed. No hiker left behind. There will be an alternative, easier hike available to those that desire a more leisurely stroll, details will be provided prior to the event. A bonfire with s'mores and hot chocolate will be available for hikers upon their return to the park office. Registration is not required, but highly encouraged so that we can have adequate supplies.
