One Day Workshop in Apalachicola with Haidee-Jo Summers

Join artist Haidee-Jo Summers for a one day workshop. "Capturing the Essence" is the title of this one day event. Exploring the themes of simplicity and economy - how do we say what we want to say about a subject without saying too much and losing the impact? Discussing focal points, composition, peripheral vision and suggestion. How to suggest detail with just a few brush marks. 

You will meet Haidee-Jo at the Millpond Pavilion, located at 1 Scipio Creek in Apalachicola. The workshop is scheduled for Friday, March 14, starting at 9 am and ending at 4:00 pm with a lunch break. Cost is $120 per person - please register online.  Bring a sack lunch or plan to lunch at one of the great cafes in Apalachicola.

A Working Waterfront Artist Demonstrations and Reception

Join artists Poppy Balser, Greg Barnes, Vicki Norman & Manon Sander as they document the Apalachicola River and the boats that ply it.  (photos are from previous events).  Reception immediately following the demonstrations. Free to the public.
