Learn Kumihimo (pronounced coo’-me-he-moe), an ancient Japanese method of braiding cords to make this beautiful necklace. Lynn will teach you how to braid the cords and then integrate seed beads to create a beaded rope.

During the second Saturday class, you will learn how to finish the necklace with a clasp and embellish it with Czech glass flowers and more seed beads. The tools you need to bring to the first class are a Kumihimo disk, eight plastic bobbins to hold the cords, and a Kumihimo weight. You can purchase them at local craft stores or online. Materials fee includes supplies provided are a collapsible beading needle, nylon cord, size 8/0 seed beads, flower beads, cones, jump rings, wire and a clasp.

Supply fee: $30 at the start of class
