The classic tale of the Little Mermaid who falls in love with a Prince is the offering of the Carnegie Performing Art’s Center Children's Play.  The Little Mermaid meets the Prince when she swims up to the surface for the first time and saves him from a shipwreck.  Longing to tell him that she saved him the Little Mermaid goes to the Sea Witch and strikes a deadly bargain, the Sea Witch will give her legs in exchange for her beautiful voice.  Based on Hans Christian Anderson’s famous fairytale The Little Mermaid, Anderson’s story explores the childish longing for the unattainable.   Mayley Durmis of Canonsburg portrays the role of the Little Mermaid while Brody Aitken of Bridgeville plays the Prince. Anna Bilderback of Moon Township is featured as the vengeful Sea Witch and Elise Egan of Coraopolis is Princess Miriam whom the Prince has been searching for.
