Logline: FAITH HEALERS is an independent feature documentary about Filipino doctors who left their homeland to care for the health of the United States. Exploring the unique history between the USA and the Philippines, discover how they navigated cultural differences and created a vibrant new community in Prince George’s County, MD, just outside the nation’s capital. From immigration in the 1960’s to 2nd generation growing pains, these Filipino Americans continue to give their time, talents, and hearts serving both of their countries. At its heart, FAITH HEALERS is about Filipino KAPWA – our shared humanity – and the importance of honoring our history and culture.
