What are the abductors & adductors, and why myofascial release?
You've probably heard people complain about their outer hips, IT band, and maybe even inner thigh / groin area, and you've wondered, "what are these muscles?" Come explore how to release strengthen and stretch areas in our hips and thighs that are commonly tight and even carry some discomfort. In this workshop we will work to provide myofascial release to commonly tight areas of the body, such as the outer & inner hips, and then help strengthen and stretch them as well.
Myofascial release is a technique used to manage muscle pain and discomfort that has accumulated in your myofascial tissues - the tough membranes that wrap, connect, and support your muscles, like the abductors & the adductors (they're pretty important!). Using various tools we will help to knead and gently stretch these fascia and muscles to work out those stubborn knots, so you can move freely and pain free in your body.
Our workshop will consist of anatomy, MFR (myofascial release), strengthening and stretching.
