Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Contest

We are excited to announce the MLK Oratorical Contest 2025 and invite students from Montgomery County Middle and High Schools to participate. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to share their dreams, honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy, and inspire their community through powerful oratory.

Theme: "Your Dream of Montgomery. Your Dream of Community. Your Dream of the World."

About the Contest
Participants are encouraged to create an original 4–6 minute speech based on the theme. One winner from the Middle School and High School categories will be selected to present their speech at the 2025 Montgomery County Martin Luther King Parade.

Eligibility
Students attending an accredited middle or high school in Montgomery County, or homeschooled students within the county, are eligible to participate. Any questions about eligibility should be directed to the committee.
