Schedule:
7:00pm Colleyville - Temple Emanu-El
On January 15, 2022, in the safe haven of Colleyville, Texas, Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker and three other congregants find themselves taken hostage. A stranger looking for a place to warm up from the winter cold, disrupts a typical Saturday morning at Congregation Beth Israel Synagogue with an antisemitic hostage attack. This film showcases the compelling story through real life drama over an 11-hour standoff, the first-hand experiences of those who lived through the events including real time security camera footage. Hear how Rabbi Cytron-Walker credits his recent training from Secure Community Network (SCN) as a reason they were able to survive the unimaginable nightmare. SCN CEO, Michael Masters, and Writer-Director Dani Menkin will both be in attendance to share insight and answer questions.
Enjoy light nosh at 6:30pm and the film to follow at 7pm.
