Music in the Stacks is a showcase of local and national musicians who entertain regularly in Northern Arizona. There are 3-5 different performers during the show, with a rotating variety each month.

This month's concert features Mark Bishop Evans, Pandy Raye, and Spencer Vandevier,l performing Thursday, January 9th @ 5:00 pm

Mark Bishop Evans grew up in Southern California where his major musical influences were Gordon Lightfoot, Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and pretty much any folk, folk rock, or beach music.  He has a way with words and melodies, bringing them together in pleasant and poignant combinations. His music is an intriguing blend of Folk, folk rock, and ballads, lyrically rich in emotional content and melodically comfortable like a favorite jacket. After spending 30 years in the Boston area and loving the folk and songwriter community, he has settled in Phoenix and continues to create and perform.

Pandy Raye has been playing/singing since the age of 10. Her parents were both musicians as well. She has been fortunate enough to share the stage with National Artists and tour through Europe. These days,  you can find her performing as a solo, duo, or trio taking requests from the audience.

Singer/Songwriter Spencer Vandevier attended Santa Fe University of Art and Design and Graduated in 2015 Magna *** Laude with a Bachelor's in Music Performance with a focus on electric and upright bass. This is also when his interest in songwriting truly blossomed. His music has been described as dark folk/world music fusion. Spencer is also a founding member of the rock/funk group The Vandevier Breaks who play a variety of covers and originals throughout northern Arizona.  Spencer also works as a session bass player and vocalist, working with artists in northern Arizona as well as Phoenix.
