The 20th Annual New Mexico Farolito "Trail of Lights" 5K and Kids K offers a festive holiday run and walk illuminated by 2,500 farolitos or luminarias. In true New Mexican Christmas tradition, these are candles set in sand within a bag, casting a soft glow throughout the night. It's a delightful way to celebrate the season. Hundreds gather each year for this event, creating a cherished tradition not to be missed. At the finish line, participants can savor holiday treats like posole and hot chocolate, among other New Mexican delicacies, with finisher medals and a long-sleeve tee shirt for all.
