This adult musical follows the grandson of Dr. Frankenstein as he visits Transylvania following the death of his grandfather, the creator of the monster Frankenstein. The young man soon casts aside his determination to never become involved in his grandfather's research and revisits his research. The results are funny and alarming.
 
The musical, based on the Mel Brooks film which was released in 1974 follows the story closely.  Mary Shelly 'created' the original book on which the film was based. The clever combining of Shelley's book and Mel Brooks' film produce an evening of delightful musical entertainment.
