About The Claremont Trio

Hailed as “one of America’s finest young chamber groups” (Strad Magazine), The Claremont Trio is known for its thrilling virtuosity and dynamic interpretations. Comprised of Emily Bruskin (violin), Julia Bruskin (cello), and Sophiko Simsive (piano), the trio was the first winner of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award and remains the only piano trio to have won the Young Concert Artists International Auditions. Their performances are celebrated for their aesthetic maturity, interpretive depth, and exuberance (Palm Beach Daily News).

Their latest album, Queen of Hearts, features works composed for the trio by today’s leading composers, including Gabriela Lena Frank, Sean Shepherd, Judd Greenstein, Helen Grime, Nico Muhly, and Kati Agócs. The Claremont Trio regularly performs at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress, and Boston’s Celebrity Series, as well as renowned festivals including Ravinia, Mostly Mozart, Caramoor, and Rockport.
