Join us Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 5 pm, for our annual “Halfway to Oktoberfest” Parade and celebration! The Suwannee Avenue Marching Band will lead a parade promptly at 5 pm at Hillsborough High School (Wilder Ave and Central parking lot) and make their way to the Independent for a ceremonial tapping and toast of Weihenstephaner Festbier! We will be tapping some of the classic German favorites from Weihenstephan and Hofbrau, and we will feature a special Indie Haus Dunkel lager brewed in collaboration with King State Brewing. Our kitchen will be offering Oktoberfest food specials such as our Weisswurst, Spaetzle, Sauerbraten Stew and more. Break out those Dirndls and Lederhosen and join the Oktoberfest Fun! Prost!
