In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, Indiana County NAACP will host an annual celebration and commemorative program on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Grace Church, 11am – 2pm. Focusing on the theme, “Legacy: Countering Differences,” the celebration will highlight achievements reflective of Dr. King’s dream and offer insights into countering today’s differences through awesome performances by our youth and community members, inspiring music, and guest speaker, Ms. Angela Jackson, a 15th year veteran of non-profits, a former real estate agent, and the executive director of Indiana County United Way. Topping the event is a community luncheon, door prizes, and opportunities to learn of various service projects you can become involved in. This will be opportunity to meet and mingle with old and new friends. Discounted memberships will be available for becoming a soldier of the cause. Admission is free but registration is requested (see flyer). All are welcome. Please join us in celebrating one the nation’s National Holidays that honor an American hero who stood for hope, justice, and freedom for all.
