It hosts St. Patrick's Day a holiday we've adopted from its home country of Ireland during which we celebrate the Emerald Isle by drinking good (or green) beer. It's also the month of the spring equinox, when we see the first green shoots of our gardens coming out of the ground, new growth that heralds the brightening sun after long days of darkness. So can't help ourselves we want to celebrate the color green in opera and art song, too! Join us on the 15th to celebrate all things green and drink some good beer of which the Irish would be proud.
