Participants will get an overview of effective economic development techniques and programs, with a special focus on how land-grant and research universities contribute to growth and innovation. Malone has served as the UofA’s Vice Chancellor for Economic Development since 2022. He has nearly 30 years of experience building partnerships to achieve community and economic development opportunities. Previously he served as vice president for corporate and community affairs for Runway Group, president and CEO of the NWA Council and held senior staff leadership positions in the White House, FEMA, the U.S. Senate, and the House of Representatives.
