The Williams Department of Romance Languages and Images Cinema invite you to the annual Williams French Film Festival 2025: “Exile and Return in New French and Francophone Film.” This year’s festival features 3 new films to be shown at Images Cinema (on Spring Street in Williamstown), on Tuesdays in February at 7PM: Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière’s “The Count of Monte Cristo” (Feb 11), Mati Diop’s “Dahomey” (Feb 18), and Julie Delpy’s “The Barbarians” (Feb 25). French faculty will give introductions to each film. All films are in French with English subtitles, and are free and open to the public, due to the generosity of the Williams Romance Languages Department, the Center for Global Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, and the Class of 1960 Scholars Fund.
