As we approach the 10th anniversary of the Roughrider Ink & Iron Expo (RIIE), we announce with a mixture of gratitude and reflection that this year’s expo will be our last. Over the previous decade, RIIE has proudly celebrated the art of tattooing and the craftsmanship of motorcycle building. Each year, we have gathered artists whose ink has told stories and artisans whose machines have set the streets alight, creating a familial bond that has united enthusiasts from all walks of life.

Since its inception, RIIE has been more than just an event; it has been a platform that educates, acknowledges, and empowers artists, from novices to seasoned veterans. We have strived to create an inclusive atmosphere that welcomes everyone, strengthening our community and making it more vibrant.

This year, as we mark our 10th-year milestone, we celebrate a decade of creativity and camaraderie and reaffirm our commitment to giving back to the community that has supported us. A portion of our ticket sales and auction proceeds will continue to support Make-A-Wish® North Dakota, aiding in their mission to transform lives.

We invite you to join us one last time to celebrate this legacy. Let’s make this final year a memorable culmination of passion, purpose, and artistry. Thank you for your unwavering support, sharing your passion, and helping make RIIE a beacon for tattoo and motorcycle enthusiasts. As we close this chapter, we look forward to exploring new ways to support and celebrate our community in the years to come.

Thursday, October 3

4:00pm: Tattoo Seminar with Jerrod Vaughn

During the seminar, Jerrod Vaughn will guide you through the tattooing process from beginning to end, sharing tips and tricks used daily, focusing on color saturation and theory. Jerrod will demonstrate how and why colors are chosen and discuss preferred inks. Additionally, participants will explore storytelling techniques and methods for infusing more movement into tattoo designs. The day will conclude with a live demonstration tattoo. There will be opportunities for Q&A throughout the seminar, and attendees are encouraged to ask as many questions as possible. The cost per slot is $200, with only 15 slots available. Paid at the event to Jerrod Vaughn upon arrival.

“My name is Jerrod Vaughn. I’m from Southeast Missouri. I'm a 38-year-old tattoo artist from the middle of nowhere, Missouri. I’ve been in the game for 11 years. I have focused primarily on color in my time in the industry, but I enjoy black and grey occasionally. I would say somewhere between New School, and Neotrad is my sweet spot. If I can get some pop culture subject matter and tell a fun story along the way, even better!”
