After growing slowly over the first decade, the festival has burst onto the metro music scene over the past few years. Local news outlets have called it "One of the most popular music events in Mississippi.

This local big band has become a yearly favorite

11:40 a.m. - Murrah High School Jazz Band "1400 Jazz FM"
The first TJF appearance for one of Jackson's legendary schools

12:20 p.m. - JSU Jazz Ensemble
Featuring some of the same players from the Super Bowl

1:05 p.m. - The Raphael Semmes Quartet with special guest Rhonda Richmond
Local legends teaming up with a soulful vocalist

2:05 p.m. - The Vamps
Perennial soul jazz favorites led by Barry Leach

3:20 p.m. - Antonia Bennett with special guest Jason Marsalis
The next generation from two iconic music families

4:50 p.m. - The Donald Harrison Quartet
Legendary New Orleans "Big Chief" himself

6:15 p.m. - Southern Komfort
Funky brass band and a parade finale.
