From: Florida Lakes Symphony OrchestraThe Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra will present their 18th season finale with two Spring Serendipity Concerts in Central Florida. These lively April concerts will be presented by talented professional symphony musicians from around the world. Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra brings to Lake County a treasure of talent and culture in the many themed concerts they present.
The FLSO will begin with music by Johann Strauss Jr.'s "Voices of Spring", followed by singer Aleksandra Vargas with "O Mio Babbino Caro" and "La Vie en Rose". In the latter piece, she will be joined by trumpetist John DePaola. Johann Strauss Jr. will then return with "Die Fledermaus Overture". Internationally acclaimed tenor Marco Romano will sing "O Sole Mio" brightening the stage for Strauss's "Roses from the South".
The FLSO will start the second half of this performance with "The Moldau" by Smetana before sharing the duet from the Phantom of the Opera, "All I ask of You" sung by Marco Romano and Aleksandra Vargas. Then, they will share the inspiring "E.T. Adventures on Earth" by composer John Williams. The finale will be presented with the Latin American wonder --"Tico Tico". A complete evening of musical tales of spring flowers, love, dancing and refined fun will be presented by the extraordinary Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra.
Konstantin Dimitrov: Having performed all over the world, Virtuoso Bulgarian violinist Konstantin Dimitrov will anchor the orchestra as he has done since 2006 as a Concert Master and soloist.
Guest Conductor Paul Hostetter holds degrees in concert performance from Florida State University and the Juilliard School of Music. As a much sought-after guest conductor, he was an assistant to James Levine at the Metropolitan Opera. He has conducted many symphonies, opera companies and ballet performances. His soft-spoken musical genius makes him a favorite with the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra.
Spring Concert Locations: On Thursday, April 20, the Spring Serendipity Concert will be held at The Cross in Mount Dora, FL. The Friday, April 21 performance will be held at the Minneola City Hall, Minneola, FL. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for their choice of upfront seating.
Florida Lakes Symphony: In 2005, the internationally respected French classical concert pianist and composer Guy Saint-Clair came to Lake County from their home in Europe with his wife and portrait/wildlife artist Audrey Sanders. That same year, they established the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra. They have hosted a series of concerts with talented guest conductors and soloists from around the world. With the guiding light of the Founder Guy Saint-Clair as well as with supportive artistic and administrative skills of the co-founder and as Executive Director Audrey Sanders, the FLSO was established as a beautiful musical force on the professional Central Florida cultural scene
