The Shiawassee Arts Center’s 27th Annual Member Artists Show is on exhibit now through July 7th. The show, which is sponsored by Joy Welty, features the multi-media work of nearly 100 Michigan artists from as far away as Grand Rapids, Mt. Pleasant and Royal Oak. 

The artist reception, which is open and free to the public, is Saturday May 18, 4-6pm. The presentation of $1000 in awards by the show’s juror, artist and instructor Armin Mersmann of Midland will take place at 6:00. Additional awards were chosen by the SAC Board of Directors and SAC Executive Director Piper Brewer and awards in memory of SAC’s co-founders, Dolly Woodard and Ann Moore.

The Shiawassee Arts Center, located in Curwood Castle Park in Owosso, is open and free to the public Monday through Friday 10am-5pm, weekends 12-3pm. The Arts Center features the artwork of local and statewide artists in nine galleries including the Frieseke Gallery and a specialty Gift Shop.
