8:00 AM - 2:30 PM - 31st Annual Grumpy Old Men Festival Ice Fishing Tournament at  Parkside Marina

Channel your inner grumpy old man during the 2024 31st Annual Grumpy Old Men Ice Fishing Tournament on February, 24th!

Registration: 8:00am – 9:30am

Tournament: 10:00am – 2:00pm

Awards and fishing tournament raffle drawings: 2:30pm

Cost: $10 Adults; 12 & under $5

Rules: Largest weight per species, in case of a tie, winners will share prize, accordingly. Weigh in will be located at the registration table in the parking lot at Parkside Marina. No vehicles or oversized fish houses will be permitted on the ice unless the vehicle is designated as handicap (portable ice shacks only). All participants must follow the state of MN fishing laws and have a valid MN or WI fishing license. Officials have the right to check participants’ gear before and during the event. All fish will be returned to the water after weigh in. in case of dead loss participant my keep or donate the species. Boundaries are Parkside Marina Only, Enter Ice at your own risk.

Prizes: Each category receives $200 First $125 Second $75 Third Place Total $1600

Join the Wabasha United Church of Christ (UCC) for their 17th Annual Hotdish Luncheon from 11am-2pm. There will be over 25 hotdishes plus dinner rolls, pickles, bunt cakes and beverages. Admission is $15.

11:30 AM - Third Annual Bill Hanson Memorial Cribbage Tournament at Wabasha VFW

The annual Bill Hanson Memorial Cribbage Tournament is happening again during the 31st Annual Grumpy Old Men Winter Festival weekend!! Back by popular demand for a third year, this tournament is limited to the first 100 players. Check-in is day-of and begins at 11:30 a.m. $10.00 per player to play!

2:30 PM - 4:00 PM - Grumpy Old Men Movie Time at the National Eagle Center at National Eagle Center

The National Eagle Center is excited to announce that they will be offering a Grumpy Old Men Movie Time event on Saturday, February 24, 2024 in their Program Center located at 110 Main Street West in Wabasha!!

Beginning at 2:30 p.m., the Saturday of the 31st Annual Grumpy Old Men Winter Festival, watch this iconic movie with our beloved Eagle Center volunteers and staffers.

Concessions will be available for purchase!

Free will donations are appreciated!

Try your luck and help support our 31st Annual Grumpy Old Men Winter Festival by purchasing a gun raffle ticket! 10 different locations, 10 different guns, only 50 tickets sold per gun!

Purchase in-person only

There will be one gun raffle to purchase at the Ice Fishing Tournament Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Parkside Marina in Wabasha as well!

Winners will be drawn at 9:00 p.m. on stage at the Transfer Building Event Center after the Saturday evening music by Outland!

Need not be present to win. License #X-79012. Must be 18 Years of Age or Older. Must be 21 Years of Age and older for Pistols and A/R-15. Permit to purchase or conceal and Carry are required for pistols and A/R-15. Background Check Required. Guns will not be available on site. Winners will be notified after the drawing. Winners will pick up guns at River Valley Outfitter’s by appointment only. Guns must be picked up by March 31, 2024, ticket locations may change.
