This event is free to enter! To get your antlers entered and scored, bring them to the Ponderosa Room on the 2nd floor of The Monument, Friday, Feb. 10, between 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM or Saturday, Feb. 11, between 9 AM - 1 PM. The first 100 entrants will receive a $25 grab bag and all entrants will be entered to win a 300 Win Mag VDG. $100 - $500 gift cards will be awarded to contest winners!

All entries will receive free admission. The first 100 entrants will receive a free grab bag worth $25. Scorers will be on-site. All antlers will be scored, so bring YOUR BEST! The top two scores in each category will receive a grand prize. All other entries will be put in a prize drawing for a Weatherby 300 Win Mag VDG model, sponsored by Scull Construction Service.

Category winners will be announced at the South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures Live Auction held at the Monument, Cowboy Bar, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 6:30 PM. The entry prize winner for the 300 Win Mag will be announced proceeding.

One valid entry per species per person. Animals must have been harvested in South Dakota during a valid 2022 hunting season. Names and tags will be checked through South Dakota Game Fish and Parks. Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of the Official Rules. Horns/antlers must be picked up by 2:30 PM on Sunday, Feb 12, 2023.

South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures

Live and Silent Auction

Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 7 PM

This year’s auction will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 7 PM.  Registration will start at 5:30 and auction will start at 7:00 PM in the Cowboy Bar at The Monument. This event is open to the public and all money raised through the Live and Silent Auction will benefit the South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures.

South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures mission is to provide opportunities for youth to forge a relationship with the outdoors and learn real-life skills. Big Buck or Bull contest winners will be announced before the auction at 6:30 PM.

Activities For Kids

Fun for the whole family! This year we will have a Strider Bike obstacle course, kids activity room/shooting range and NEW this year Black Hills Paintball will have a Gell Blaster shooting range! The kids activities will be held in the Aspen and Cedar rooms. Hours are Fri 4 PM - 7 PM, Sat 9 AM - 7 PM and Sun 10 AM - 4 PM.
