4:00 p.m: Miss Deltana Pageant and Cutest Baby Contest

Miss Deltana Pageant & Cutest Baby Contest 2024 - Boots & Bling it's a Cowgirl Thing

We are also thrilled to announce that the Miss Teen Deltana winner will be presented with a $750 college scholarship.

The Cutest Baby Competition has $5 entry fee, paid at sign-up. Please bring exact change.

The original Miss Deltana Pageant started in 1980. New divisions - Tiny Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, & Miss Teen were added in 2013.

6:00 p.m: Dr. Crusberg’s Memorial Pet Show

Does your pet do tricks? Is there an outfit for your pet that is too adorable to keep to yourself? Want to show it off to the community?

Let's show Dr. Crusberg how much we miss him and all he did for our critters!

The Pet Show will be held by the Arena or Barn depending on the weather

All Dogs & Cats must provide a copy of current Rabies vaccination prior to bringing animals on fair property.
All Equines must provide a current EIA prior to bringing animals on fair property.
All other species of animals must be health inspected by the Fair Vet, Thursday July 18th - Times TBD
All animals in the pet show may arrive no more than 10 minutes early to the event and must leave fairgrounds immediately after show ends. Please bring your pets directly to and from the show location.

Join us for the Deltana Fair parade!

Line up at 8:00 a.m.
Start at 9:00 a.m.

Every year the Deltana Parade kicks off the start of the Fair weekend. This event goes right through the center of town, where people line the streets to watch as locals show their organization off.

The Nine Categories are:

Non-Profit
Equestrian
Music/Marching
Youth
Comedy/Drama
Family
Automotive
Unusual/Miscellaneous

Every contestant is judged on a 1-10 scale in these categories:

11:30 a.m: Annual Alaska State Blueberry Pie Championship

Did your Grandma teach you her fool-proof pie crust recipe? Does someone you know bake the BEST pies ever? Do you wish for fame and fortune? Well boy do I have the event for you!

The Deltana Fair's Annual Alaska State Blueberry Pie Championship sounds like the event for you! Meet at the Loretta Building to turn in your pie.

Fame surpassed by only by whoever invented sliced bread, a cash prize of $50.00 & the one of a kind Blueberry Pie Gold pan will be awarded to the winner. Awards and auction at the Wells Fargo stage at 1:30.

10:00 a.m: Canned Food Day

The Deltana Fair Association & Five Loaves Pantry are joining forces to help provide groceries to residents in Delta Junction, Alaska.

Bring non-perishable, non-expired food items to the Deltana Fair on Sunday, July 21st and get Free Fair Admission!

1 Free admission = 4 cans / food items
Family of 4 = 10 cans / food items
Families larger than 4, please add 1 additional can / food item for each additional person
Example - a family of 5 would bring 10 + 1 = 11 food items
a family of 6 would bring 10 + 2 = 12 food items

10:00 a.m: Louis Stockwell Memorial Play Day

The Deltana Fair Association is proud to host the 4th Annual Louis Stockwell Memorial Play Day!

Come join us for a great day of fun for all ages!

Just a few quick rules for the day

A current EIA will be required.
Ribbons will be awarded to 1st-5th place.
High point awards in all divisions.
Stallions will not be handled by anyone under the age of 18.
Any unsafe / uncontrollable animals will be asked to leave the fairgrounds - no refunds will be issued.

Please help us spread the word for this event that is honoring a great man who served the Alaskan horse community for so many years.
