The Bellevue Heritage Days Celebration is an annual event which brings families and friends together to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Schedule:
Saturday, July 1st, 2023
Activities at Cole Park:
4:00-8:00pm: Midwest Inflatables (obstacle course, giant slide, and toddler inflatables, laser tag, and mini golf)and Ron Moraga Caricatures.
5:30pm-12:30am: Live music in refreshment garden: River Moonshine (5:30-8:00pm), Sushi Roll (9:00pm-12:30am); tickets for Chamber's $15,000 cash raffle-2,000 tickets available; ATM on-site.
8:00-9:00pm: American Legion flag disposal ceremony.
8:00-10:30pm: Kids Youth dance with prizes, music by Absolute Music,
7:00-11:00pm: One of a Kind Band (Helen Reisen, Jill Roe, Dave Valant, and Jim, Deb, and Greg Sieverding) at the American Legion.
Sunday, July 2nd, 2023
Parade:
- 9:15am: Parade lineup at Horizon Lanes parking lot (970 N. Riverview Street). Preregister at City Hall and online; 1st and 2nd place $500/$250 Chamber Bucks (minimum of 10 floats needed for prizes).
- 10:00am: Parade start time.
Activities at Cole Park:
- Immediately after parade: Grand Marshal Presentation, Prince/Princess and 4th Grade Essay Contest winners announcement, Fire Dept flag raise on Park St, and Car and Tractor Show (6th St and baseball outfield).
- 12:45pm-2:15pm: Youth dance performances on the basketball courts.
- 12:45pm-2:45pm: Pedal tractor pull on Park Street; ages 4-12, registration and wear tennis shoes; cash prizes.
- Noon-5:00pm: BINGO, Ron Moraga Caricatures, beverages and food (Boar's Nest; Grandpa's Parlor-ice-cream; Ja Co Cattleman; Ja Co Republican Central Com-funnel cakes; Jeronimo's; Marquette Catholic-lemonade; Schlecht Lunch Wagon), hair feathers/tinsel/colored spray, kids games, dunk tank, and Chamber's $15,000 cash raffle-2,000 tickets available.
- Noon-5:00pm: Carve R Way chainsaw carvings-baseball outfield; 5pm carving auction in refreshment garden.
- Noon-8:00pm: Showdown and Music in refreshment garden: Jess and JoJo Siwa present XOMG POP! (Noon-12:30pm); Jeff Theisen (1:00-2:15pm); Farm Rock (3:00-4:30pm); and Not Quite Brothers (5:00-8:00pm); ATM on-site.
- 1:00-5:00pm: button/silicone bracelet needed for these activities. Midwest Inflatables (inflatables, laser tag, and mini golf), H&H Fun Rides (24' climbing rock wall), swimming at the municipal city pool, and(2:00-4:00pm) Havens Petting Farm and pony rides.
- 3:00pm: Miller Cornhole Boards Bags tournament in the refreshment garden, $40/team competitive tourney and $20/team social tourney; cash prizes top 3 teams for each tourney.
Activities on South Riverview
- 4:00-8:00pm: Food Trucks (Birds, Boar's Nest, Chuckies, Freddies Popcorn, Just Cheddar, Missy's and Family, Schlecht Lunch Wagon, and The Sip and Shop), outdoor music at River Ridge Brewery (Chris Murphy 3:00-6:00pm). Local downtown businesses open.
- 6:00pm: Ski Bellevue-ski show.
- Chamber's $15,000/$3,000/$1,000 cash drawings-2,000 tickets available: tickets for sale and winners drawn immediately before fireworks.
Fireworks:
- Fireworks at dusk in the municipal parking lot; Conducted by Bellevue (volunteer) Fire Department.
- Fireworks are paid for by proceeds from Heritage Days button/silicone bracelet sales, business donations, and public donations collection before the fireworks display.
- Rain Date: Tuesday, 7/4.
