Now is the perfect time to get crafty at your local library branch. Whether you want to get some last-minute handmade gifts done or want to try something new, your library has you covered with holiday and crafting activities all month long.
It's Story Time
Join us for Story Time on the Green: Holiday Edition on Saturday, Dec. 10, and throughout the week of Dec. 11 at library green spaces and local parks. Library staff will share holiday tales and lead jolly activities perfect for infants through 5-year-olds.
Snuggle up with your little one for seasonal songs, fingerplays, and story boards to spark your child's imagination, communication, and reading skills. Come to your favorite Story Time or join us throughout the week!
Creativebug for the Holidays
It's the season of gift-giving and, for many of us, this is a time that's almost as stressful as it is enjoyable. Buying gifts can be anxiety-inducing as well as expensive, but handmade gifts, decorations, and crafts can be budget-friendly alternatives. With the Alachua County Library District's database, Creativebug, the daunting task of making holiday gifts can be a little easier to tackle.
We have four tips and tricks for navigating Creativebug as you sort through ideas. Grab your library card and get ready.
