From: Alaska Bald Eagle FestivalEvery November, the Valley of Eagles transforms into a breathtaking haven for Bald Eagles, hosting the largest congregation in the nation. Witness the awe-inspiring sight of up to 3,000 bald eagles gathering along a stunning four-mile stretch of the Chilkat River, within the expansive 48,000-acre Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, near Haines.
These magnificent birds return to the Chilkat Valley each fall to feast during the late salmon run. Imagine yourself amidst this incredible spectacle, surrounded by scores of bald eagles against the backdrop of Alaska's pristine waters. It's an experience that will stay with you forever
Throughout November, join us for a variety of events as we celebrate these majestic birds. The peak eagle congregation can vary with weather and fish run conditions, so there will be multiple opportunities to witness this natural wonder.
