Planned EPA Rollbacks and What It Means for Clean Air, the Climate and Lung Health

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced 31 sweeping actions to roll back and undermine important clean air protections, which we have fought for and won after years of tireless advocacy.

In response, American Lung Association President and CEO Harold Wimmer stated exactly what this would mean for the health of the country:

“The actions announced today would constitute a historic handout to polluters at the direct expense of the health of families across America.” --  Harold Wimmer.

Altogether, these actions constitute a tragedy for health and serious threat to our nation’s lung health.

Many of you have asked about what this means for clean air progress, whether regulations can be undone by executive order, and whether Congress can roll back clean air rules. We answer those and other questions in the following: Deep Dive: Is the Recent Federal Clean Air Progress We Made Undone Now?

Want To Get Involved and Help?
