WILD Becomes Dear Everything

Premiered Last Month in New York

Last month in New York, A.R.T. presented a new version of WILD: A Musical Becoming (world premiere in December 2021) to an audience of over 800, including climate activists, partners, artists, Lavine Learning Lab students, and A.R.T. supporters. Now titled Dear Everything, Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director Diane Paulus directed the rousing concert that concluded with powerful words from climate activists Rosario Dawson, Jane Fonda, Maya Penn, and the Dear Everything Youth Council. Climate-related non-profits were on hand to share resources, and artwork by young people prompted audiences to envision a world healed from climate change was on display.

Dear Everything is a galvanizing reminder of the power of collective action. Its story follows a group of young people in a small town whose determination to save their local forest endows them with powers they never know they had. The book is by Tony and Obie Award winner V (formerly Eve Ensler) and the unforgettable score is by Justin Tranter, Caroline Pennell, and Eren Cannata. Since 2021, its anthemic songs have been performed at multiple climate crisis rallies, marches, and events.

We’re proud to be known as a theatrical innovator for creating events that inspire change and for fostering audience engagement in groundbreaking ways with projects like Dear Everything and the upcoming Night Side Songs. With you-the audience-as our partner, we will continue together to expand the boundaries of theater.
