The Summer of Adaptation

The Official Season Announcement!

Over the last five months, we’ve been working with our favorite artists & theatermakers to create a summer season that you would be proud of. From an imaginative adventure at sea to a public school in Ohio, from Ancient Greece to outer space, the ability to adapt — our stories, our voices + bodies, our ways of working and thinking— creates space for understanding. We are so excited to get to work with you all this summer.

Without further ado, here is Andy’s 2025: The Summer of Adaptation!

Mainstage Productions

The 24 Hour Plays: Andy’s Summer Playhouse
ONE NIGHT ONLY - June 28th at 7:00pm

An Andy’s Community favorite returns! Andy’s Kids will work eye-to-eye with five professional playwrights,  five professional directors, and an additional creative team of Andy’s Kids to create six new plays in only 24 hours!

Ahoy! (a new play)

From two time Caldecott Medalist Sophie Blackall, the author/illustrator behind Ivy + Bean, Finding Winnie, and Hello Lighthouse comes a new theatrical adventure set on the high seas. From the publishing house, “join a child captain and parent first mate as they embark on a wild high seas adventure…all without leaving the living room!”
