St. Lucia Fest - Presented by the Scandinavian Society of Cincinnati

Bring your family and friends to enjoy our beautiful, traditional Lucia Procession (Typically held on December 13th in Scandinavia) with boys and girls carrying candles lighting up the night, Food, Glögg, Music and Santa. Come and enjoy our Lucia festivities and light up your holiday spirits with Christmas music by the Swedish choir.

We will enjoy a potluck dinner following the Lucia procession. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided, guests are asked to bring side dishes and desserts to share. Do you have a favourite Scandinavian recipe that you would like to share? Traditionally the table is packed with Scandinavian foods.

Doors open at 4PM, with the Lucia procession to start at 5PM. You are welcome to sing along with the Swedish Choral Singers as Lucia winds through the crowd with her attendants in tow.

The cost for this event is $10 per adult and $5 per child.

All children, boys and girls, are invited to participate in the St. Lucia procession, please email us at [email protected] or message us here on Facebook if your child would like to participate. There will be two optional practice sessions prior to the event, and one dress rehearsal the day of. The society will provide costumes and accessories to anyone who’d like to join and no prior experience is needed. Come be part of one of our longest-running Scandinavian holiday traditions!
