Chandler Innovation Fair
Every February, Chandler celebrates the exploration of invention. The Chandler Innovation Fair (CIF) showcases the businesses, artists, students and innovators in the community as Chandler participates in the statewide Arizona SciTech Festival.
Now in its 14th year, we are continuing to partner with the Chandler Unified School District’s Innovation Fair, which brings about greater district participation.
This free event offers unique opportunities for attendees to explore the discoveries of science engineered in their own backyard and taught in Chandler Unified schools. Chandler uses ‘sneaky science’ by entertaining the whole family while explaining how science is important to daily life.

Prescott Regional SciTech Fest
The Prescott Regional SciTech Festival promotes a culture that celebrates and embraces education, research, collaboration, innovation, and economic growth in the Prescott region, related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and the Arts (STEAM).
This free, fun-filled educational event features interactive science, technology, engineering, art, and math exhibits and demonstrations as part of the statewide Arizona SciTech initiative. Visitors can engage in hands-on activities, observe scientific experiments, collect free giveaways from campus organizations and community exhibitors, and experience a free planetarium show.
Free tickets to planetarium shows occurring throughout the morning and afternoon will be provided on-site to festival guests. A planetarium show for young children and their families, “Our Friends the Planets,” will occur at 11 a.m., while a show for general audiences, “Across the Visible Universe,” will occur at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

City of Tempe: Geeks Night Out 2025
Calling all Scientists, Techies, Engineers, Artists, and Mathematicians!
Join us for Tempe’s annual STEAM Festival, Geeks Night Out. The free, family-friendly event is a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics that provides interactive, hands-on learning opportunities for the community to enjoy.
Geeks Night Out is an Arizona SciTech Festival signature event, presented by State Farm, that allows everyone to discover the science in everyday things.
Merging fun and education, Geeks Night Out showcases everything from robotics and coding exercises to a makerspace and art displays. More than 60 organizations will deliver hands-on activities, cool science experiments, live entertainment, food trucks, and so much more.
2025 marks the 12th Anniversary of the community collaboration between Tempe Elementary School District, Tempe Union High School District, Kyrene School District, East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), Arizona State University, Rio Salado College, University of Advancing Technology (UAT), local businesses, organizations and the City of Tempe. The free, family-friendly event is sponsored in part by the Tempe Diablos.

Gila River Indian Community: Earth Day Celebration
Earth Day is Every Day in the Gila River Indian Community!
Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, on which events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network, and celebrated in more than 192 countries each year.
The fight for a clean environment continues in an atmosphere of increasing urgency as the ravages of climate change become more evident every day. For a number of years, the Community’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has celebrated Earth Day to raise public awareness about environmental issues locally, nationally, and globally. We invite you to be a part of Earth Day and learn what the various Community departments and programs are doing to protect the Community’s resources. Please help us achieve more victories so we can build a clean, healthy, and safe environment for generations to come.

This annual family-friendly event features a variety of activities and exhibits that highlight dark sky preservation and topics related to it.
We’ve curated activities to appeal to every age group and area of Interest when it comes to the night sky. Here are just a few:
- Passport activity for two student age groups. Visit various activities and exhibitors, get a stamp in your passport, and enter a drawing for a free bike from McDowell Mountain Cycles.
