Join us at the Shreveport Convention Center for ArtBreak 2023 as we celebrate Caddo Parish Students' Artistic Success! ArtBreak is a free, hands-on family event produced by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council, and Caddo Parish Public Schools. The ArtBreak Festival provides the entire region the opportunity to witness first-hand the results of quality Fine Arts instruction and Arts in Education programming. Through the combined efforts of school administrators, teachers, artists, our generous sponsors, and hundreds of community volunteers, we continue to grow and provide educational and creative opportunities at ArtBreak.

The Shreveport Regional Arts Council's Annual ArtBreak Festival is the largest showcase of Student Art programs in the South featuring more than 100 Caddo Parish and private schools, more than 50 hands-on STEAM learning activities, more than 100 school and community performances, more than 4,000 student works of visual and literary art and over $20,000 in cash awards. ArtBreak is the perfect place to add Art to STEM in an effort to show how art and science are better together.

Fashion Extravaganza!
The Fashion Show, Exhibition & Competition!
Grab your Scissors, Needle and Thread…Bring the Safety Pins and Hair Spray and get ready for the Pressure! The dynamic Fashion Instruction Duo at Caddo Career & Technology Center will present the top Fashion Designers in Caddo Parish High Schools! The multi-layered event includes a Fashion Show featuring student designs, a "secret ingredient" competition where students must assemble an outfit and accessories from Surprise Materials and an AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION, "Runway" show to see how YOU vamp the Runway! A team of professional community fashion experts will judge the event elements. There are prizes for each "round" and an overall FASHIONISTA prize!

Unconventional Challenge Middle & High School
Individuals or a small team of "fashionistas" will have the opportunity to create a "Fashion Look" made of non-fabric materials such as paper, DVD's, zippers, Mardi Gras Beads, vacuum cleaner bags, food packing, zippers, safety pins, or ANYTHING that can be manipulated and applied to a piece of clothing. Works will be juried and winners will be announced at the ArtBreak Awards Ceremony.

Sizzle Culinary Art Competition
Culinary Students Face Off In A Saturday Cook-Off!
'Don your Chef Hat - Wield the Knife, Discover the "Secret Ingredient," Start the Clock and let's start Cooking! The Culinary Art Competition features 4-6 pre-selected Top Chefs in Caddo in a competition that includes scoring for each dinner course: Appetizer, Entrée, and Dessert! There is an overall TOP CHEF, and prizes for each of the three competitive meal courses. A team of professional chefs from the most dynamic restaurants as well as personal chefs, and caters judge the CULINARY ART COMPETITION!
