From: ARTSConnectHey there, Topeka!
It's hard to belive that it's already September, but - like all the others - this First Friday promises a full variety of art, music and more. We hope that you are making your plans to be out experiencing Topeka in a way that only the artwalk can offer.
One of the many special things happening tomorrow night are two events that are part of a community-wide land acknowledgement called The Do Pi Ka Project on display at the NOTO Arts Center and at ArtsConnect. There will also be a new exhibit at the Sabatini Gallery opening on Sept. 8th and other events upcoming. The Do Pi Ka project has been organized by owner of 785 Arts, artist Lisa La-Rue Baker (Cherokee Nation). We hope that you will take some time to view the artwork, meet the artists and learn something new about the place that we all call home.
But....if you can't wait until tomorrow night, don't forget that tonight is one of the last "Eats and Beats" concerts at Evergy Plaza starting at 6:30p and featuring live music by Soul Rebel and the Beast. You'll find dozens of events listed on the ArtsConnect website and on the ArtsConnect Facebook page - so we hope that you'll check it out and go explore this beautiful city. (Have an event that you'd like to see on the calendar? Just send us a note and we'll get it added!)
Have fun out there, Top City!
