Virtual - Ducks of New England with Bill Gette
Friday, February 17@ 1pm

Bill will show his photographs, review aids to field identification, discuss each species’ habitat preference and behavioral characteristics, and recommend places where birdwatchers can go to see these magnificent birds.

Harvard Book Store partners with the APL to host Katee Robert—New York Times and USA Today bestselling romance author—for a discussion of the fourth book in her Dark Olympus series "Radiant Sin"

Virtual: A Look At Elizabethan England
Thursday, February 16 @ 10:30am

We will look into the past and recall the first Queen Elizabeth, who reigned from 1558 to 1603. And we will examine the art created during her reign as the Queen and her courtiers expressed their dominance through their portraits and palaces, decorative arts and stately homes.

Mini Horror Book Festival @ The Ashland Library!

We're so excited to welcome horror authors Christopher Golden, Hillary Monahan, Eric LaRocca, Errick Nunnally, and Paul Tremblay to Ashland for our very first Mini-Fest! If you've read their books, you already know they are spooky, thought provoking, and scare-your-pants off fun. The day will include a panel discussion, small group conversations, and a book sale/signing. So, grab your horror lovin' friends (because it's no fun to be so scared on your own :), and come on down to the Ashland library!

Weekly ELL Classes with Hopkinton Library


These weekly classes alternates between in person and online. Contact the group leader for information on joining for the meetings. We are happy to be collaborating with the Hopkinton Public Library for this series!

Introduction to Shark Biology
*For Grades K-4
Tuesday, February 21 @ 3pm

Kids will assemble life-size puzzles of juvenile and adult white sharks and learn about how sharks grow and change from juvenile to adult.

Family Movie: The Bad Guys
Wednesday, February 22 @ 3pm

Come watch The Bad Guys (animated, rated PG)
After a lifetime of legendary heists, notorious criminals Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark and Ms. Tarantula are finally caught. To avoid a prison sentence, the animal outlaws must pull off their most challenging con yet -- becoming model citizens. Under the tutelage of their mentor, Professor Marmalade, the dubious gang sets out to fool the world that they're turning good.

Learning the Facts About Sharks

Kids will go through a series of true and false statements to address some of the common misconceptions about sharks.
