Message from the Chairman

Dear Members,

As the 2023 Chair of the Asian Chamber of Texas, I would like to wish you a Happy Lunar New Year! On behalf of the ACT Board and leadership I send you good wishes for unending health, prosperity, and progress in this coming year. May the new Year of Rabbit be filled with joy, prosperity, and many happy moments spent with loved ones.

Together, we have accomplished great things and I am confident that we will continue to do so in the year ahead. As we celebrate this new year, let us take a moment to reflect on our past successes and to look forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Asian Americans have become the fastest-growing consumer segment in the U.S and digital platforms. By 2024, Asian American buying power is projected to reach $1.6 trillion. Together, we can make this a year of progress and growth.

Though we have much to celebrate as an inclusive community and major economic contributor, we continue to work for equity in voice and racial understanding. ACT strives to be one voice for the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) business community in the areas of economic development, advocacy, education and cultural diversity. This weekend's horrific incident in California serves as a devastating reminder that we all must do everything we can to stand up to violence against the AAPI communities, and our thoughts and hearts are with all of the victims and their families. Once again, thank you for your contributions as an ACT friend and member. Your sustained support and advocacy allows us to focus on our efforts as an AAPI leader and champion in the north Texas region.
