From: Aspen FilmfestTis the season!
With ski season getting into full swing, we’re thrilled to offer you some exciting après screening options over the coming month, all at the Aspen Film Isis Theatre.
As you’ve seen, there are some phenomenal films on offer this season. Given the fact that most of the bigger and notable titles have been or are being released before Christmas or have hit the streaming platforms, we are not doing an official Academy Screenings this season. Instead, we have some other diverse and exciting Winter of Cinema offerings for your viewing pleasure in the coming weeks. As always, there is something for everyone.
Have a look HERE for the full rundown.
*All films will be shown at the Aspen Film Isis Theatre.

Next week, we are excited to share with you three very different and exceptional Winter of Cinema viewing experiences that you won’t want to miss:
Wednesday, December 18: In partnership with HeadQuarters, we’re excited to showcase the Colorado premiere of SPACE COWBOY, a high-octane, adrenaline-inducing documentary on sky diving, skysurfing, and skyflying. Co-directors Bryce Leavitt and Marah Strauch will join us for a Q+A after this exhilarating and illuminating show.
I had the pleasure of working with director Marah Strauch on her first film, SUNSHINE SUPERMAN, a decade ago. I chased her to see her new co-directed film, falling just as hard for this one. We suspect you’ll be as captivated by this film as we were.

Saturday, December 21: In partnership with The Resnick Center for Herbert Bayer Studies, we proudly present the award-winning epic film THE BRUTALIST, starring Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce, and Felicity Jones.
I was lucky enough to catch the one screening of this film on the final day of the Denver Film Festival - it is a cinematic achievement and a masterful work with outstanding performances.
This account of fictionalized Bauhaus architect László Toth has earned incredible praise from critics and audiences. The film premiered in Venice in August, with director Brady Corbet taking the Silver Lion for Best Director, in addition to four other Venice prizes. It was recently voted Best Film by the NY Film Critics Circle, which also named Adrien Brody Best Actor, and just received 7 Golden Globes nominations.
