PROVIDENCE, RI – Acknowledging?the importance of consistent attendance?in education?and?in alignment with the #AttendanceMattersRI campaign, Governor Dan?McKee?and?Commissioner?Angélica?Infante-Green?are pleased to highlight the top elementary, middle,?and?high?schools?with the greatest average?weekly attendance. 

The following?schools?are Rhode Island’s attendance?leaders?for the week of November 18, 2024*:

- Elementary:?State Street Elementary School, Westerly - 98.4%
- Middle: Lawn Avenue School, Jamestown - 97.5%
- High School: Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts (TAPA)** - 96.4%

Special recognition is extended to the following schools for demonstrating the most improved average attendance rates from the previous week:  

- Elementary: Guiteras Elementary School, Bristol-Warren - 5.3%
- Middle: Lawn Avenue School, Jamestown - 3.2%
- High School: YouthBuild Preparatory Academy School - 12.5%

The? Governor?and?Commissioner?express their gratitude?and?encouragement to all?schools?in Rhode Island for their ongoing efforts to prioritize attendance?and reinforce the value of consistent learning experiences for all students.
